Zeynel Bey Tomb is an important historical monument, which was built in the borders of today’s Batman province at the end of 1400s, by the ruler of Aqqoyunlu Federation for his son martyred in the Battle of Otlukbeli. Zeynel Bey Tomb, which will be submerged when under-construction Ilısu Dam starts to operate, has been transported to an open-air museum 2-km away from its original location within a project run by DSİ (The General Directorate of State Hydraulics Works). As a result of research carried out by Middle East Technical University and Boğaziçi University, it is decided that the structure will be installed on a seismic isolation system in order to protect it from earthquake hazards in the region.

Zeynel Bey Tomb has been placed on the seismic isolators designed, manufactured and installed by TİS Teknolojik İzolatör Sistemleri A.Ş. Information about the isolation system is presented below.
